After 1133 people were killed and over 2500 were injured on April 24th 2013, when the Rana Plaza factory complex producing clothing for the global fashion industry in Dhaka, Bangladesh burned to the ground, an initial idea to rally around and lobby to create change within the industry rapidly gained momentum, giving birth to the Fashion Revolution Day event.
Led by a board of industry leaders, campaigners, press and academics from within the sector and beyond, Fashion Revolution Day is set to become the catalyst that brings together those who want to see change within the industry. The fashion industry impacts so many from all areas of the globe – which is why the Fashion Revolution initiative has the potential to improve millions of lives around the world.
Get involved on the 24th of April, 2014 by wearing your clothes inside out and change the way you look at what you wear.
What do your clothes really say about you?
