After a glorious day, Sydney turned on a stunning evening for the inaugural Est Magazine Reader Dinner last week on 14th November. Held in collaboration with The Wedding Nest, the intimate dinner took place at the newly-refurbished Watsons Bay Boutique Hotel Sunset Room. The Est team arrived on the day to find Zoe and Jacqui from The Wedding Nest in full control of the perfectly organised chaos that was taking place just hours before the event.
Design-savvy Sydneysiders were greeted with champagne and a chat and as the sun set over Sydney Harbour, we took our places at the long table for a shared feast created by Chef Pete Evans with wine from Philip Shaw and water from Antipodes. The beautifully redesigned Sunset Room was styled for the evening by super stylist Imogen Naylor and Wilder’s plantation floral creations and they set the table with KnIndustrie cookware and Mud Australia dinnerware.
The Sunset Room was the perfect venue for a group of design-loving, individually creative souls who came together to give the event the all important Australian twist; good food, wine and laughter.
Former Editor of Madison Magazine Lizzie Renkert amazed us all with her stamina (you would never know she is only 12 weeks off having a baby) as she hosted a Q & A session that focused on the creative industry insights of Shelley Simpson, creator of Mud Australia and our very own Sian MacPherson, Editor in Chief of Est Magazine.
Thank you to all of our loved Est readers who came along and supported us on the night and the fabulous creative team that came together to make it a huge success.
In fact, it was so much fun we have plans afoot for more dinners. If you’d like an Est reader dinner in your home state, let us know.
